Qualification for education:

For Junior Technical Assistant: Diploma in Engineering / Technology in the discipline concerned, with a total of 60% of all semesters (55% for SC candidates).
For junior technical assistants: 10th plus pass have a firefighter certificate course of at least three months from a council or institute recognized by the State / Central Govt.
For Junior Quality Control Analyst: Graduate (55% for SC candidates) in science (B.Sc.) with chemistry as a major subject. (OR) First Class Diploma (55% for SC candidates) in Chemistry / Petroleum / Petrochemical Engineering / Technology.
Selling price: Rs. 11900-32000 / -

About Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), previously known as Madras Refineries Limited (MRL) was molded as a joint project in 1965 between the Government of India (GOI), AMOCO and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) . Initially, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited processing plant was set up with a capacity rise of 2.5 million tons per year.

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited has two plants with a common purification capacity of 11.5 million tonnes per year. The Manali refinery has a volume of 10.5 MMTPA and is one of the most compounded refineries in the country with facilities for manufacturing fuel, lubricant, wax and petrochemicals. The Company's principal outputs are LPG, motor gasoline, superior kerosene, aviation turbine fuel, high-speed diesel, naphtha, bitumen, lubricant stocks, fuel oil, Hexane and petrochemical feed stocks. The CPCL wax plant is intended to produce paraffin wax for the production of candle wax, water-resistant preparations and wax match. A propylene plant, with a volume of 17,000 tonnes per year, was custom-built in 1988 to supply petrochemical companies downstream. The division was renovated to improve propylene production capacity to 30,000 tonnes per year in 2004. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited also provides LABFS to a downstream unit for the production of Liner Alkyl Benzene.
